Liberty, Libations + Brotherly Love

Being a West Coast girl, I often get asked how I chose the book’s setting of Philadelphia. Since I’m headed there for a weekend full of “WHEAF” activities, I figured this would be the perfect time to expound on my setting inspo.

When I first sat down to write this book, it was with the loose idea that the main character, Abigail, would be navigating twentysomething life without a nuclear family – as I had. From there, a few other details took shape that would ultimately influence the book’s setting.
